The large cafe on the 1st floor has been our go-to place for coffee and sandwiches/pastries for some years. We do go to other places, but I'm always amazed by the consistency and high standards this cafe maintains. However, this is a letter of praise to the staff.They are, without exception, kind, thoughtful, welcoming and happy to go the extra mile for customers.Yesterday was a bad day for me, with a sciatica flare-up which meant I couldn't stand for long or lift anything. I didn't need to ask. My tray was loaded and carried over to a table. Having over-faced myself with the delicious, home-baked scones, one of the staff came over with a bag & wrapped the spare one up for me to take home.They were pleasant with all the customers, but they made my visit special. Thank you.

Atkinsons Department Store has beautifully decorated for Christmas.I love this quite large store, it has everything what you need for your home and clothes for both adults and children. The sales staff are professional, friendly, the service is excellent and you can have a great time here, have a snack and relax with the whole family.It gives people a great mood during this magical time before Christmas!

Atkinson's is one of Sheffield's gems, situated on The Moor. It's an independent department store that's been around for over 150 years. They've got all the usual department store products for your home such as clothes, soft furnishings, kitchenware, electricals, luggage, fragrances, gift items etc.Some may think it's old fashioned and I would agree, but only in the sense that it caters for shoppers in a personal way which seems to have been lost these days. Staff are always polite and available (but not pushy), allowing you to browse at your own pace.The only compromise they've made is to have concessions such as Grape Tree, Nankivells and Caffe Massarella but they fit in well. I visited one of their eateries, Angelica's Tea and Cake, upstairs which has a great selection of savoury and sweet items to have with a range of drinks. They cater for a variety of diets and, when I spoke to them about their gluten free options, they were very friendly and knowledgeable leaving me feeling confident about dining there.Atkinsons’s has outlived former rivals in Sheffield, so it's doing something right!

Called in on SundayBrilliant customer service from the 2 guys on the appliance section.Ordered new washing machine and oven.Very competitive pricesFree delivery and good price for installation.We all need to support this Brilliant Store!!

Good place to find clothes, shoes, bags, soaps, even duplicate keys, house furniture as well. And The staffs are very nice.

Independent Department Store that offers a bit of everything. I always enjoy having a look round as it isn't too big. Cafes are all good with friendly staff. In fact all the staff are helpful.What a great Christmas installation of singing reindeers. And a wonderful selection of Christmas gifts.The staff were courteous as usual.
