I always park in Atkinsons so regularly go through the store. I recently went to buy prom ties and shoes for my boys. Unfortunately I had to return one of the ties (wrong colour, nothing wrong with the tie!) and the staff on both occasions went above and beyond to help me. Everyone in the store is just so lovely, helpful and friendly. It’s a perfect example of what a department store should be! If ever I need anything in town, I always try to make it from Atkinsons. They have everything and the perfect staff to back it up!

Well this store is a proper throwback. It reminds me of Grace Brothers from the great 70s TV show Are You Being Served. It has a wildly eclectic mix of products and the electrical department at the back of the store looks particularly as if it were a Time Machine back to the 70s, with a rather elderly sales assistant sat looking bored most of the time looking at a laptop. But if you’re stuck for a gift, it’s a great store to browse and get inspiration. Even has a small health food department next to kitchenware. They really should do a fly-on-the-wall documentary from here, it would be fascinating.

Excellent customer service from the helpful assistant in the luggage department, came to ask me if I needed help, and knew about the products, so often missing in retail. Thanks Atkinsons.

Great shopping experience

Probably one of the best shops in Sheffield! It's huge and there's plenty of different sections to look at (clothes, cards, shoes, and more!). We often use the car park here for trips into Sheffield as well and have never encountered any problems with that too. The toilets upstairs were clean and there's even shops within the shop! (Grape Tree and Pavers). I haven't tried the cafés and restaurants within the place but certainly will in the future, this shop is one of the highlights for nearly every visit into Sheffield and I would definitely recommend shopping here whilst you're in this great city!

Had a really nice lunch @ massarella Atkinsons. Jacket potato was great and lovely coffee. Staff are lovely and down to earth. I would recommend lunch here. 👌👍

I went into Atkinson's department store last Saturday to return my hubby's sock ,how he didn't realise the wrong size I never know 🤔12 to 14 ,so pleased he did ,what a great experience,really professional and kind assistance, lovely lady,and same for the fella too ,great people skills, friendly banter,also to the pink lady (hope you don't mind me saying that ,you looked really nice and friendly,I bought a sage blouse , really pleased with it ,👍if only more people supported these long established businesses,and made more effort to shop on the high street a great experience,thank you !!
