Is your store on The Moor open?
No, we're temporarily closed in line with Government guidance, and hope to welcome you back on Thursday 3rd December. Social distancing will be in place throughout the store in line with Government legislation, face masks will also need to be worn, unless you have a medical reason that prohibits you from doing so. We'll be operating opening times of 9am-5.30pm Monday-Saturday, 10.30am-4pm Sunday. When we do re-open we'll really need your amazing support, yet again, to help us through this period - and we'll look forward to safely welcoming you back to store.
Will social distancing be in operation when you re-open?
Yes. Customer and colleague safety remains our number one priority, so you'll find markings in store to assist with social distancing. Our friendly colleagues will be wearing face masks or visors for your protection, and there will be sanitiser stations in store (subject to availability). There will be a limit to the number of people inside at one time, but as we are lucky enough to have a large store this invariably will not result in queues at the door. In addition there will be reduced entry and exit points to be aware of.
Will I need to wear a mask when you re-open?
Yes. For yours and everyone's safety you'll need to wear a mask in store in line with Government legislation coming into effect midnight Friday 24th July 2020. Children under the age of 11 and those who for medical reasons are unable to wear a mask will be exempt.
Will your opening times be changing?
We hope to welcome you back on Thursday 3rd December. Our opening times will be 9am-5.30pm Monday-Saturday, 10.30am-4pm Sunday.
Will I be able to enter and exit in the usual way?
During the store closure (5th November 2020 to Wednesday 3rd December) there will be no access to the store.
The car park is also closed during this lockdown period. On re-opening we'll have a one-way system with designated entrance and exit points to be aware of, for your safety.
Are the toilets open?
While the store is closed there is no access to our internal facilities, such as the toilets, we will revisit this as we come closer to re-opening in December.
Are the restaurant and cafe's open?
In line with Government guidance they will be closed from Thursday 5th November until Wednesday 2nd December inclusive. We fully intend for them to re-open when the store does on Thursday 3rd December.
When will I receive my Chargecard account statement?
October statement balances can be paid via internet banking – payment should be made to the account and sort code as detailed on the statement. Any interest generated on Chargecards for the November statements will not be applied to your account.
Will my finance agreement payments now start?
Finance agreement payments will continue as normal, if you have recently set up a finance agreement this may now be processed on re-opening in December.
Can I buy online?
We're huge believers in making an experience of shopping, we believe it should be a leisure activity where you take the time to browse and enjoy the store. So, although selected products are available to view online we will not be taking orders for the period of lockdown. We're taking this opportunity to add more products to the website and hope to bring you the ability to buy a wider range of products online soon. On our return we'll need your support more than ever, so please visit us in store on The Moor. Thank you.
Do you have parking available?
Atkinsons Car Park will be closed from Thursday 5th November until, and including, Wednesday 3rd December. The car park will re-open when the store returns in December.
How big is the store?
We have two floors of wonderful products for you, your home and for loved-ones. That's 75,000 sq ft of retail space with over 40 departments and three eateries, it really is an all-in-one shopping experience. Add that to the great service you can expect to receive and the convenient on-site parking above the store, and you can see why we've been delighting the people of Sheffield for generations. We look forward to welcoming you back in December.
What departments do you have?
We really do have everything for you and your home, and for them. From modern furniture & beds to new season menswear and womenswear, home furnishings to gifts and cards, appliances to electricals and cookshop gadgets - it's all here and more when you shop with us in store.
What is a Chargecard?
You can think of the Atkinsons Chargecard like a regular storecard, but better! You can use it to make purchases in store, and then pay later, with a 2.5% settlement discount available if you pay your balance in full within 30 days. That means even more savings for you each and every time you spend in store, and settle your balance at the end of each month. Applications are subject to status and our friendly customer accounts team will be happy to advise on the process when we return in December.
