Met a lovely staff member called David.

Went in with a group of friends (we are 20), trying to find a sofa for our new house. The staff were judge and unfriendly, even had one lady shout at us from across the shop floor. We were consistently told off for walking around and sitting on sofas so we could agree on one.

Finally David came along, we assumed it was more of the same thing about to happen, but he was extremely friendly, we had a lovely conversation and asked about what we needed and what we liked a sofa, trying to understand what younger people like and how he can expand into that audience

In conclusion very disappointed with most the staff, however David was lovely.

We have recently bought a sofa and two chairs and have been very impressed with the furniture department in Atkinsons.
From the first enquiry in store right through to delivery, we experienced first class customer service from all staff involved.

I had a fantastic experience at Atkinsons ground floor Café in The Moor, Sheffield. The manager deserves special recognition – friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about customer service. They went out of their way to make sure everything was just right, which really made my visit stand out.

The atmosphere was welcoming, the service smooth, and the overall experience excellent. It’s rare to see a manager so hands-on and committed to ensuring guests feel valued. I’ll definitely be returning and recommending this café to others.

Use it or lose it! The last department store in town and the best place to shop for many items

I purchased two sofas from here which were perfect (and I hasten to add very well made, quality) so I went back for number three. I didn't unpack it straight away due to decorating...But when I did the cushions were too small and didn't fit...I called the store, sent an email and photos and they were on it immediately....Within a couple of weeks all new cushions that fit perfectly......Love this store everything is quality.....Please don't close..

Bought 2 armchairs, a 2-seater sofa & 3-seater sofa from Atkinsons recently & had a fantastic experience. It was so helpful to visit their showroom on the 1st floor & see so many sets of furniture on display, to be able sit on & try them out & look through the colour swatches too. We had good support from staff when we were browsing (not pushy) & the ordering process was very easy; they were even able to accommodate our request to delay delivery of our items for a few months. The delivery men where fantastic too, even going so far as to help me remove my front door so we could get the 3-seater sofa through the door & then helping me to re-fit it again afterwards. All round a great experience, so I can highly recommend using this local family business. 🏅

Atkinson built my gorgeous new sofa and armchair and Neil and Karl who delivered them couldn't have been better. They arrived on the dot, were extremely professional and polite and had everything sorted within minutes. Both are a real credit to their employers.
